  1. I'd like to be able to use my gitlab webhooks to trigger rebuilding and redeployment at c66. At the moment, the payload of gitlab isn't support, so no branch-name can be detected. As result of this issue, the c66 trigger is always triggered, no matter which branch i push to. At the meantime, gitlab is getting more and more interesting for us as company but this is a reason not to move to them...

    Link to Webhook-Docs with payload-description:
    https://gitlab.com/help/web_hooks/web_hooks

    Many thanks :)

  3. We get notifications when deployment starts successfully but not when it doesn't (for example if a server cannot be reached via SSH).

  4. Rails 3.2 is going to end its official maintenance cycle.

If Cloud66 bought a enterprise version of https://railslts.com/ they could then offer it as a addon to their Rails customers. Thus ensuring that the rails 3.2 stacks can have support. going forward

  5. It would be great if I could create two Redis servers with different settings. One would be a cache server and the other server would be used for persistent data.

  6. For example,

    if CPU load is at 2 or greater for longer than 5 minutes;

if Memory is greater than 60%.

If disk space is greater than 80%.

    ETC.

Since you have monitor this stuff already, it would be fantastic to just get notified under certain conditions and triggers.

Would save people a lot of money by not having to buy a third party Server Monitoring solution like New Relic or Scout.

  8. Deploy hooks don't run when scaling services, so it'd be nice to have a new hook point that covers all circumstances in which a Docker container is created or destroyed, on scale or deploy.

  14. For compliance reasons we need to make sure that our data resides within Germany, which corresponds to Amazon's eu-central-1 region.

Unfortunately, the managed backups created for our databases whcih are running in eu-central-1 end up in eu-west-1.

Please consider adding managed backup support for eu-central-1.

  17. Spotinst (https://www.spotinst.com) is a a sophisticated cluster software and prediction purchasing algorithm for EC2 and GCE resources. By leverage spotinst you can bring the cost down of EC2 and GCE resources and still have enough power to run your applications.

  18. Creating cron tasks through the interface works great with the error handling etc attached. If we do this through whenever gem or our own cron we don't get the nice c66 features. So it would be great if we could configure the crons in cloud66 manifest and have them behave as c66 cron job.

Right now I have to manually add the jobs in the UI in the staging env, then remember to manually add them again when we deploy to production and then remember to manually add them again in the case of server rebuild.

  19. Currently all env vars are upcased in the UI. I have many apps using lower case env vars. Despite various dogma some frameworks or tools use lower case for avoiding collisions with system env vars.

It would be great to have a checkbox to turn off the forced upcasing of env vars.

At the moment I can't use cloud 66 without this feature.

  20. It would be nice if Mongo replication would replicate ALL databases. It is very easy to use databases for multi tenancy but without replication on all databases that is kind a useless.
