Speed up DNS updates
I am testing my DNS server name 2hr 50minutes after the server was created and it still does not resolve:
uptime
up 2:49
host bison.staging-86.staging.c66.me NS-213.AWSDNS-26.COM
Using domain server:
Name: NS-213.AWSDNS-26.COM
Address: 205.251.192.213#53
Aliases:
Host bison.staging-86.staging.c66.me not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

Thanks for the note. I understand the direct query to the DNS server. However we add the DNS records immediately to AWS Route 53, so there is nothing we can do more to speed up on our side. It could simply be a propagation lag on the AWS Route 53 side which unfortunately we don't have control over.
We have seen this working most of the time within reasonable timeframe, so I'd suggest using tools like http://viewdns.info/ as a way to verify propagation across all DNS servers and the whole cascade.

Sorry I did not see your comment on this, I don't think I got an email notification.
If you notice what I posted, I queried from NS-213.AWSDNS-26.COM which is the DNS server for your c66.me domain. So your system did not publish the DNS. It is not an issue with DNS propogation as you wrote on the 29th.

Perhaps a Uservoice issue, here it is:
The DNS records are added immediately and have a very short TTL (5mins). However depending on the DNS servers your ISP uses, you might not get the records propagated very quickly.
Also, sometimes checking the DNS record before it is propagated to your side can result in a delay of 24 hours as your router (or your ISPs) can avoid rechecking for another 24 hours.

Hi Ankur,
I replied to your email about this regarding the DNS propagation. Did it answer your question? Can I close this one?
